Homemade Lip Gloss...The Easy Way!

this is for my lazy girls. so quick & easy to customize lip colour while conditioning your lips at the same time!

THE RESULTS!

::what i used + tips::

*empty sanitized pill cases - cases can be purchased at drugstores like Shopper's Drug Mart in Canada. i then sanitized them with rubbing alcohol.

*Vaseline (petroleum jelly) - find this at any drugstore. great for conditioning lips on its own.

*blush and lipstick that you want made into gloss - i chose Rimmel "Airy Fairy" because i love it so much!

*something to scrape, crush, and mix blush/lipstick - i used a spoon but use whatever works for you.

::steps::
1) scoop out the desired amount of Vaseline into the pill case
2) scrape off blush and crushed lipstick into the the case and mix well.
3) once fragments have disintegrated, you're all finished! SO EASY. =)

Smoky Dark Brown Eyeshadow - Two Ways to Wear It

this looks stunning on all eye colours!

::what i used + tips::

*GOSH Waterproof Eyeliner in "Love That Champagne" - this adds a shimmery gold base for brown e/s to adhere to. also adds more dimension to the final look.

*Coastal Scents 78 Eyeshadow & Blush Combo Palette - i used a medium taupe from lid to a bit above the crease/top of eyeball.

*Cargo eyeshadow in "Colombia" - this is a VERY pigmented, VERY dark matte brown. mine broke a long time ago but i never got around to setting it back together in the pot, so i used some of the fallout in the lid. the colour payoff is intense. if you don't want to go so dark immediately, then try a slightly lighter matte brown like MAC Embark (pinkish brown) or MAC Espresso (neutral dark matte brown). but then you'll probably want to darken your outer V with a matte black.

i applied the Cargo shadow from my lashline to just above the top of my eyeball (slightly under the matte taupe i've already applied).

*L'Oreal H.I.P. Duo in Shady - i used the light matte taupe to blend out the edges of the dark brown, softening the outer V as well.

*Dior palette in "970 Stylish Move" - highlight browbone with a shimmery white above the matte taupe to blend it out. use a fluffy blending brush.

*GOSH Waterproof Eyeliner in "Love That Beige" - accentuate inner corners with a shimmery white. i also like to throw a little under my lower lashline to brighten my eyes.

*Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette - add a shimmery taupe to the ball of your eyes for dimension.

~*~ you can stop here for a less dramatic look. just line your upper lashline, and upper & lower waterline, then apply mascara. ~*~

*Too Faced Smoky Eye Kit - take a shimmery dark brown and blend out the inner half of your lids for dimension. also take an angled brush to line the middle area of your lower lashline with the same brown.

*touch up the shimmery white shadow on inner corner of eyes.

*Revlon Colorstay in "Black" - line your upper and lower waterline, as well as upper lashline.

*set liner with a matte black shadow. in this vid, i used MAC 242. this way the liner won't budge all night.

*Shu Uemura lash curler - curl your lashes to open up your eyes.

*CoverGirl Lashblast in "Black" - add a few layers of mascara.

*Lips - keep them nude so as not to compete with your dramatic eyes. i used Revlon Matte in "Nude Attitude", topped with Rimmel Vinyl Gloss in a bluish light pink (can't find the specific name or number).

Smoky Pink & Gray Eyeshadow: Great for Going Out

a very wearable look for evening.

::what i used + tips::

*Maybelline Cool Effect Eyeshadow/Liner in "Ice Princess" - this adds a shimmery pink base for e/s to adhere to.

*BeneFit Creaseless Cream Shadow in "Skinny Jeans" - a metallic gray base. pat it on with your ring/fourth finger. don't apply too much; you don't want your shadows to get gunky.

*GOSH Eyeshadow Quad in "Q24 Platinum" - apply darkest gray with the sponge tip applicator for a richer and more precise application. blend from lashline upwards to above your eyeball.

*Dior palette in "970 Stylish Move" - add a frosty pink above the gray to blend it out and add a touch of colour. i applied this with MAC 272 angled brush.

*Same Dior palette - highlight browbone area with the shimmery white. i used my fave blending brush...MAC 217. go over inner corner of eyes and lower lashline with frosty pink.

*OPTIONAL: Too Faced Smoky Eye Kit - use clean blending brush and darken outer V with matte black. blend well.

*BeneFit Bad Gal Liner - this thick smudgeable pencil liner helps smoke out the look. add to upper and lower lashline.

*Revlon Colorstay in "Black" - take this thinner liner to line your upper and lower waterline.

*set liner with a matte black shadow. i used a small stiff angled liner brush from Quo (Canadian brand). this way the liner won't budge all night.

*Shu Uemura lash curler - curl your lashes to open up your eyes.

*CoverGirl Lashblast in "Black" - add a few layers of mascara.
